It's a sci-fi dream that anyone doing chores and housework would have had at one time. Imagine if you had a robot for every boring job in your house. Sure, we've got floor cleaning robots, dish-washing robots, violin playing robot, and machines to just about everything else - but wouldn't it be great if we had robotic servants to operate them for us?

Yeah!!! Robots make our life so easy n smooth…I wish I would have had one Robot, which would search n get TV remote n my mobile to me.. coz every time I keep my mobile somewhere n keep searching for it.. he he he ..also which would help in cooking..;) ;)
Its no longer a dream. Its hard core reality as you have shown us the various chores these little things are able to do. What a perfect gift one of these would make, for Mom's all over the world. But being a stickler that I am to environmental issues, I wish these robots do use renewable energy. Keep em coming.
Wish in future one can marry a robot rather than marrying a man...robots cant break hearts like people atleast!!! ;-)
Building a robot that will mimic a human being is the ambitious goal of Rodney Brooks, MIT professor and artificial intelligence guru. For two years, Brooks has been working on Cog, a robot capable of learning from its experiences, the way people do. If Brooks is successful, Cog will become the most advanced robot in existence. Ultimately, Brooks envisions creating robots that can operate in the world like human beings and even outperform them.

Nexi, the latest robot star from MIT's Media Lab, is symbolic of the widespread research interest in the future range of applications for personal robots and human-robot teamwork. Nexi is an experimental humanoid robot with a head that can display a wide range of facial expressions. Video cameras and microphones enable it to see and hear.
